Consular services provided by the Embassy
Based on the laws of the Republic of Macedonia, the bilateral agreements with the Kingdom of the Netherlands and International Conventions, the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in The Hague is authorized to issue certain documents and to promote and protect the interests of the nationals of the Republic of Macedonia; traveling or residing in the Netherlands.
The Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in The Hague for its own nationals provides the following consular services :
1. Issuing certificate of life
2. Obtaining certificates issued by the authorities in the Republic of Macedonia
3. Verifying copies of documentation issued by the authorities in the Republic of Macedonia
4. Preparing statements and verifying signatures
5. Preparing testaments
6. Obtaining marriage, birth and/or death certificates
7. Registering children in the official Register in the Republic of Macedonia who are born in the Netherlands
8. Registering marriage concluded in the Netherlands in the official Register in the Republic of Macedonia
9. Issuing cover letters for deceased persons
10. Conducting procedures for renouncement of Macedonian citizenship
11. Conducting procedures for admission of Macedonian citizenship
12. Issuing travel documents
Persons who are in position of Dutch international passports (Reis document), can obtain visa for entry in the Republic of Macedonia.
The Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in The Hague for foreign nationals provides the following consular services :
1. Issuing of visas
2. Preparing statements and verifying signatures on the statements

Recognition of documents issued in the Kingdom of the Netherlands by the authorities in the Republic of Macedonia
The Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Republic of Macedonia are both parties of the Hague Convention. According to the Convention, the documents issued in the Kingdom of the Netherlands are recognized in the Republic of Macedonia if they are certified with Apostil stamp. In this case no additional verification is needed. The documents certified with Apostil stamp, which are to be used in the Republic of Macedonia, should be translated in Macedonian. Information on the Dutch authorities authorized for Apostil stamp are provided on the site www minbuza.nl.
Birth, marriage and death international certificates issued in the Kingdom of the Netherlands to be used in the Republic of Macedonia are recognized without further verification in accordance with the conventions ratified by the two countries.
Passports and travel documents
Macedonian citizens legally residing abroad can only apply for biometric passports in the Republic of Macedonia.

The Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in The Hague can issue travel documents to the Macedonian citizens who reside or travel in the Kingdom of the Netherlands if their passport is lost or stolen. The travel documents can be used only once and only for one purpose – to return back to the Republic of Macedonia.
When submitting the application for travel documents the following documents should be attached:
- Proof of police that the passport is lost or stolen,
- Proof of citizenship,
- Proof of identity,
- Two passport photos
Children under the age of 18 can travel to the Republic of Macedonia without being accompanied by their parents only with the consent of both parents. The consent can be issued at the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in The Hague.
To obtain the consent you need:
- Proof of identity (passport or ID)
- Birth certificate

Costs
In accordance with the Law on administrative fees there is a fee for consular services provided by the Embassy.
Macedonian citizens traveling or residing in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, should the need arise, may ask for protection and/or assistance from the Embassy. Entry/transit of pets
Before entering/transiting trough Macedonia, an animal older than three months (dog and cat) must:
1. have microchip identification or a tattoo for personal identification
2. have a valid European Pet Passport
3. be treated for rabies, ticks, and tapeworm (echinococcosis)
4. have veterinary certificate issued by competent body in the country of origin
